The following are some of the questions we most frequently receive from customers and prospective customers alike.  If you do not see an answer to your question, please feel free to Contact Us or call us at (401) 438-4450.
  1. Does Munroe Dairy milk come from cows that are treated with artificial growth hormones* or antibiotics?
    NO. We guarantee that all of our milk comes from cows that have not been treated with artificial growth hormones* or antibiotics.  Our Farmer's have taken a pledge not to use artificial growth hormones or to treat our cows with antibiotics.
    *No difference has been shown between milk derived from rBST-supplemented (or treated) cows and non-supplemented cows according to the FDA.
  2. How fresh is your milk? How long is its shelf life?
    The milk you buy from Munroe dairy is much fresher than the milk you typically find in the grocery store. It only takes us 24 to 36 hours to get the milk from the moo to you.  We guarantee our milk for eight days from the day of delivery. If you have a problem, let us know and we will correct it for you. 
  3. And your bread?
    Our bread is delivered fresh daily from Gold Medal Bakery, located in Fall River, Mass.
  4. How can I be sure of the quality without seeing my groceries?
    Our crew handpicks each item for your order. Our trucks have both refrigerated and freezer compartments to keep your order fresh or frozen en route to your home.
  5. What if I am not home for delivery?
    If you are not home at the time of your delivery we put your products in your milk box and pack it with ice (as needed) so it stays cold until you get home. Your Milk Man will pack your order with ice in the warmer months. 
  6. How do I keep my order cold until I get home?
    Milk Box, Cooler, Refrigerator Placement. Many of our customers have insulated Munroe Dairy Milk Boxes on their porch where items are delivered and kept cold until you get home. You may use your own cooler or order a Milk Box from your Milk Man, online or by phone.
  7. Is there a minimum order or delivery charge?
    Yes.  We ask that you maintain a minimum order of $10.00 per delivery, and there is a $2.50 customer service charge, per stop.
  8. Where do your cows live? 
    All of the cows live nearby just over the border in Connecticut on small family owned and operated farms. Each of the farms offers large pastures for the cows to wander through and graze on the fresh and nutrient rich grasses. It’s true! They even sleep on waterbeds! Check it out!
  9. What is your billing cycle?
    The billing cycle is a week behind. Whatever you receive today will be on your bill next week.
  10. How do I place an order?
    We highly recommend that you place your order on-line through our web site. You may also use your blank Munroe Dairy shopping list to leave for your driver each week (for that week’s delivery). If you prefer to phone in your order call (401) 438-4450; or Fax it to: 401-438-0035.
  11. What if I forget to order?
    As a courtesy, we are happy to send out an Email reminder the day before your delivery. Just sign up here!
    AB Munroe Dairy will NEVER share your information. We only use it to contact you regarding orders, specials, events, and weather alerts.
  12. What do I do if I am going on vacation and do not need a delivery?
    If you are going on vacation or do not need a delivery, please cancel your next week’s delivery by using our on-line ordering system, or call (401) 438-4450, 24 hours a day, and leave a message for your driver.
  13. Do I have to sign a contract?  Is there a required length of service?
    No. There is also no required length of service, nor any contracts.
  14. How are your bottles handled?  Do they get recycled?
    We reuse our bottles about 40 times. Take a look at our multi-step process that cleans and sanitizes our bottles.
  15. How do I suggest new items for Munroe to carry?
    Our goal is to provide local, convenient, quality products delivered to your door. If you have a product you love and want us to consider, Email info@cowtruck.com with suggestions.
  16. What is your return policy?
    Here at Munroe Dairy we have a Satisfaction Guarantee Policy, product credit will be given within 7 days for fresh products and 14 days for all frozen foods. For safety and health reasons we cannot take back any products that have been taken into a home.
  17. What towns do you deliver to?
      We deliver to the entire state of R.I. except Block Island.*
